All Y3 Coaches and players to come along and give the new modified game and activities a go before the season starts.

 COST: Gold coin donation from all who attend please (Coaches and players)

WHEN: Friday 10th April 10am – 12.00pm (Noon)

WHERE: HBC Netball Centre,  Edith Hopper Complex

No registration required just turn up on the day and “Give it a go”

Anne Nicolson , (Netball Northern junior coordinator) will be attending to help with all questions you may have! (New Rules, Coaches role etc)

We will go through a few activities, then take the court to play other teams.

Coaches it doesn’t matter if all your team cannot attend and players if your coach cannot attend please still come along and we can put teams together in the day.

TENDERS INVITED FOR CATERING OF HBCNC

Tenders are invited for the catering contract at Hibiscus Coast Netball Centre (HBCNC).

The successful vendor will be able to:

•  Provide a variety of different types of food to patrons of HBCNC 
• Drinks –including sports drinks, tea, coffee, juices
• Food – pasta, sandwiches, hot food, energy foods, sweets, salads

The HBCNC has a kitchen available with the following items provided: Fridge, Oven, Hot water urn, Display cabinets, Plates, Cups and  5 tables and 50 chairs for patrons.

Please note the following details and requirements when considering if you wish to tender:

You will be informed in writing prior to the end of April as to whether your tender has been successful or not. If you are successful you will need to provide.

•  two cheques the first covering a $500 deposit which will be cashed immediately,
• the second will cover the remainder of the balance $500 which will be cashed no earlier than the 1st August, 2015.

All caterers must: REGULATIONS FOR CATERING VENDORS

1.  have a Food Handlers certificate.
2. carry their own public liability insurance 
3. provide bins in your area and bag and take away, all rubbish produced by your catering services.
4. Price lists for all food and drink must be displayed 
5. All units must be in place by 9.00 am on Saturday (during netball season), Thursdays by 3pm, Sundays Representative tournaments by 8am.
6. Any equipment brought to the HBCNC by traders will remain entirely at their own risk.
7. It is the responsibility of all traders to comply with all relevant Trading standards and Environmental Health Legislation.
8. It is essential that you are able to provide a service during the netball season. The dates are as follows:
• Junior Netball (Thursdays 3.30pm-7pm)
• Starting Thursday 23rd April – 20th August 2015
• No-play dates are 9th & 16th July 2015
• Senior Netball (Saturdays 9am-4pm)
• Starting Saturday 2nd May 2015
• No-play dates are 30th May, 11th July 2015
• Representative Tournaments (Sundays 8.30am-3.30pm) Sunday 9th August, 23rd August 2015
• Please note that we also provide a fund-raiser during these two tournament dates.

This group will enjoy 4 specialist workshops:
1. Wednesday 1 April (note new date) (6.30pm – 8pm) Baseline recordings, core skills and planning

2. Tuesday 7th April    (5.pm – 8pm) ball skills, jump-landing and body rotation

3. Tuesday 14th April (5.pm – 8pm) positioning, specialties and psychological skills

4. Tuesday 21st April (6.30pm – 8pm) testing & goal setting (review)

A FANTASTIC NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR 20 HBC JUNIOR PLAYERS

This year we are running the NEW “New World” Hibiscus Coast Netball Centre, Junior Development Academy.

This is an opportunity for our Junior 2014 representative players in the Year 6, Year 7 and Year 8 teams. The cost is $80 for this 4-week programme (Tuesdays 6.30-8.pm). The program focuses on:

• Teaching correct netball skills, e.g catching, passing, shooting, jump landing and body rotation technique. 
• Small group Personal Trainer sessions so that these developing players are aware of good warm-up, warm-down technique
• Importance of good nutrition. 
• Players will be tested twice
• Supported with psychological skills of coping and managing anxiety, goal setting and calming techniques.

If you are interested in this opportunity (and you are currently intending to be registered for the 2015 season at HBCNC), please fill out an application form. Applications close 24th February 2015 and successful applicants will be notified by the website by 3rd March 2015.

The HJDA will begin Tuesday 31st March, then on 7th, 14th and 21st April. Start time is 6.30pm and finishes at 8pm. Please note that this goes through the school holidays, so you need to take this into consideration.
